Joining Forces – Working Together to Plant and Save MORE TREES!

One of the great things about being a small / family run business, is that there is minimal red tape. I have worked for large corporations where it is impossible to get things done, EVEN NO COST INITIATIVES like volunteering!  We are grateful for the opportunity to be able to work with who we want, when we want; and to be able to give back to our community and the environment however we see fit!

This past year I spent a good amount of time at grant workshops speaking with leaders from non-profit organizations. We were looking into creative ways that our small startup would be able to work with others across the country without direct endorsements. We quickly realized that our name and mission were not enough (because many did not know who we were or that we even existed!)

The solution came from a conversation I had with leaders within California Urban Forest Council & CalFIRE. They let me in on a little-known “secret” within the system; that organizations like non-profits would be encouraged and sometimes required to provide “matching funds.”**

** These matching funds could come in the form of volunteer work, education, simulation, consultation, and more. This meant that if the grant supplied say $5,000 dollars towards a project, the organization would be required to provide $5,000 “dollars” worth of additional resources not covered by the grant.

This was an amazing revelation for myself and our team…

We realized that as a business we would become more desirable because we were willing to travel and talk with organizations, volunteer our time, and provide direction and help with the installation of products. Not to mention, that we were already hoping to supply our products to benefit their tree planting programs! – And what better way is there to “advertise” for your business than to get your hands dirty with other volunteers passionate about increasing their tree population!?

That being said, we have since committed ourselves to providing our assistance with each initial installation of TreePans to any city or non-profit who seeks it.

We will do all we can to physically be with you to help with a smooth installation / tree planting process.
